As an active member of the International Certification and Standards Board since 2009, he served as their chairman from 2014-2018 and is a past president of the Insurance and Financial Practitioners Association of Singapore. He is also committed to social causes, serving as chairman of Hagar Singapore, a nongovernmental organization dedicated to supporting women and children who have experienced extreme abuse and trauma.
